Audience Research
As part of the coursework we have to have audience response. as part of this we use both social media and surveys. These could include qualitative and quantitative surveys.
We could do a mixture of surveys, questionnaires, phone calls to cinema companies (wem town hall, odeon etc) and then do reviews. We need to find out who watches the specific genre, and why.
The site that we used was called mojo, which includes what percentage watches each genre, and also which movie was top in that specific genre. The serial killer sub-genre and also the psycho / stalker / blank from hell sub-genre fits our story board the best, as ours includes these things.

Logo tests with pictures
We were given a range of photos and fonts which we had to use to try and create different logo designs.

We experienced different types of problems such as those including;
- Merging things together
- Things not having a clear background
- Having to actually work with the given images and fonts
- Not being able to have things the sizes and quality we wanted
These overall things would have been a problem when things such as photoshop wasn't created.
These initial 'ideas' were brainstormed in our group, and have been an overall help. It helped us for the overall designing, and before we used photoshop in the first place. It gave us a good eye, and enabled us all to have ideas that were down, before starting the actual process.

Delicatessen Alternative Soundtrack
This is the opening to the film delicatessen. It is different because we have put our own sound track over the top of it.
Flash Back Practice
In my group we carried out an experiment to see if it was possible to create flash backs, which we could include in our thriller opening. we did this by filming a short simple story line which enabled us to create the flash backs. then we put it into final cut on the computer where we added effects and edited it to create the flash back effect. I think this work well, as it was effective and easy to do. learning this technique was helpful and will be useful to us to produce the final thriller opening.

Strange Days
There is only one type of shot used in this and that is from the point of view of the person. This is good at some points but at some points it is hard to see stuff at other points in this opening.
Cape Fear
In the opening titles to cape fear there is lots of reflections. There is lots of reflections this indicates that the film is set around or by water. In the reflections there is different things you can see such as at one point you can see an eagle then later in you could also see an eye. This eye grew to a face then got bigger to until you could see bigger bits of his body. In this opening sequence there are lots of cuts and hardly any pans.
The music of this title sequence is very eery. it sounds like it is building up to some thing and every now and then there is a really loud sound that makes you jump.
If i was to use any thing out of this title sequence i think it would have to be the music because it creates an air of mystery.
